All our workforce programmes and initiatives sit under Feeding Britain’s Future, an industry wide movement bringing the whole food industry together to inspire young people, strengthen skills and build the talent pipeline the UK food industry needs.

  • Feeding Britain's future

    The UK’s food and drink industry united movement, led in partnership with IGD, to build a confident, skilled, and future-ready workforce. Through it’s clear focus on attract, develop and thrive, it aims to bringing employers, educators and communities together, to inspire young people, builds essential skills, support inclusive workplaces and strengthen the talent pipeline.

  • Mmmake your mark

    Delivered as part of Feeding Britain’s Future this is IGD’s nationwide, cross-industry campaign showcasing the breadth of careers across the food system and inspiring young talent to see the sector differently.   • Schools Programme

    IGD’s Schools Programme supports the attract pillar. It is one of the UK’s largest industry- supported employability initiatives, training over 130,000 young people across more than 30% of secondary schools. Through our free, interactive workshops, students build essential skills for work and discover the wide range of careers across the food and consumer goods industry. Our Schools Partnership Toolkit makes it easy for teachers to bring employers into the classroom, helping us reach even more young people nationwide.   • Reverse Mentoring programme

    The Reverse Mentoring programme supports the Thrive pillar of Feeding Britain’s Future by creating meaningful connections between leaders and under-represented voices, opening up honest conversations that drive change and build a more inclusive food and consumer goods industry.
