Lifecycle assessment is a valuable tool, enabling organisations to make decisions to help reduce the environmental impact of their packaging. IGD has developed this guide in collaboration with the food and consumer goods industry, encouraging transparency and consistency of environmental claims. It aims to support design decisions that lead to a significant reduction in environmental impacts in line with our shared ambition: to halve the environmental impacts of the UK packaging system by 2030.
