Rebecca Oliver-Mooney (or ROM is she is more commonly known) is Head of Category for Protein, Frozen, Community Buying, Category Development & the apiary, which brings together meal for tonight components, a focus on sourcing, combining customer value, focus across key events and supersavers, a collective lens on the future of Plant Based and doing things differently with small suppliers whilst driving a laser focused approach on customer centricity.
ROM has over 20 years’ experience in a variety of commercial, category, innovation and strategy roles across manufacturing and retail including Mars, Nestle, Kellogg’s, Muller and Biotiful Dairy before joining the Co-op in 2020. ROM is extremely passionate about putting the customer at the heart of everything we do, focusing on data and insight to create visionary strategies that centre around customers’ wants, needs and desires. Empowering creativity, change and doing things differently ROM prides herself on driving accessible, mindful inspiration for our customer base.
ROM wants everyone to disrupt and inspire to drive authentic differentiation for Co-op, doing the right things in the right way positively and passionately. Putting collaboration at the forefront of ways of working ROM would welcome anyone in the supply base reaching out to her and the team to think outside of the box, fridge or freezer!
ROM is an extremely proud Mum of two daughters (12 & 14) who are a constant inspiration with their thought diversity. Nothing delights her more than seeing their passion for retail and food manufacturing being developed at a young age. She promises she doesn’t ‘borrow’ all their good ideas.
