What we do
At IGD, everything we do is aligned to five strategic priorities that support a thriving, resilient and future-ready food system. Through our People Programmes we support a future-fit workforce for a thriving food system.
With over 4 million people working across the UK food system, we help attract and upskill talent to meet future needs. From our Mmmake Your Mark campaign to school workshops and tailored learning programmes, we’re inspiring the next generation and supporting hundreds of businesses to build future-fit teams.
By the end of 2025, we will have trained over 130,000 young people across more than 30% of UK secondary schools and supported over 600 businesses with 17,000 hours of training for more than 4,000 employees.
