School Workshops

IGD has delivered workshops to thousands of young people, providing them with structured opportunities to spend quality time with industry professionals. We remain committed to providing meaningful interactions that help young people develop their employability skills and our virtual  workshops do just that!

These one-hour interactive workshops help young people across the UK, to gain insight into the diverse range of roles and the skills needed within our industry. Most importantly, they help young people understand how to develop their employability skills and feel prepared for the world of work.

Our workshops are delivered by an experienced facilitator and feature up to four professionals from across the industry. Volunteers provide insight into their job, their experiences of work life and the skills they use.

Sessions consist of activities and Q&A lead by the facilitator – no advance preparation is required from industry professionals.

“Through IGD, professionals like myself have the opportunity to share experiences and knowledge in order to help young people think and plan what they want to do in the future. It’s easy to do, engaging, and to know you can reach out to so many young people and hopefully plant a seed of excitement or opportunity, is a rewarding experience for all.”
