Findings from the Opinions and Lifestyle Survey (29 July – 02 August) run by the Office for National Statistics reveal the following impact of COVID-19 on people:
- 37% would feel comfortable eating indoors at a restaurant (34% last week)
- 21% who had left their homes had visited a café, pub or restaurant this week (10% 8-12 July’20)
- 96% of adults who have left home have worn a face covering (84% last week vs 71% the week before)
- Of those who had been shopping this week, almost all (95%) said they had worn a face covering
