Learning at Work Week (LAWW) takes place between 17 – 23 May with the theme Made for Learning, focusing on our capacity to learn and be great lifelong learners.
For many businesses Learning at Work Week is a great opportunity to:
- Hero learning and showcase the importance of a lifelong learning culture
- Remind colleagues and team leaders what internal learning is available
- Highlight resources that provide an external perspective
- Deliver insight live from senior leaders or trainers
Learning from IGD focuses entirely on developing people – inspiring and supporting learning for personal and career development.

Supporting your internal learning plans
Our role is to inspire professionals at every stage of their career, aiding the development of relevant skills to help them meet the challenges of an ever-changing business climate. We stay at the forefront of learning to equip everyone with the knowledge and skills to seize the future. We do this through our industry working groups for HR Leaders and L&D professionals.

Discovering IGD's free learning offer has been great! The on-demand hub is a fantastic additional resource for our people to access and the free courses are really relevant. On a personal level, I have got a huge amount of value from the L&D Network sessions, where I can learn best practice from other companies.
Thomas Seymour, Commercial Capability, Bacardi
Our on-demand learning hub provides anytime access to hundreds of resources focused on specific skills, complemented with a calendar of live webinar events.

Online learning courses
For a more structured approach, we have free online courses that cover a breadth of industry knowledge and skills development. Delivered as a mix of self-led learning and digital events, our courses combine the flexibility of learning on-demand with the importance of connecting with other learners to build a personal network.
Hosted on our learning platform, the structured courses provide a fantastic opportunity to learn alongside others from industry while also challenging thinking and seeing alternative perspectives.
Sainsbury's gets a huge amount of value from IGD's free learning and it's incredibly easy to promote. We see lots of Sainsbury's colleagues regularly attending the live webinars and send many of our early careers colleagues on the New Starter Skills course for a more structured experience and induction to the industry.
David Plater, Skills Development Lead, Sainsbury's
In 2020, we enrolled 1,300 learners from over 250 companies onto our New Starter Skills course and 82% said to contributed to their personal development as well as 90% who would recommend to others.
