Stepping up from team player to line manager is a significant step and requires evolving your set of skills, moving from doing your job well, to leading a team with a collective output. 

It is now your responsibility to create an open and motivating space for your team to grow, develop and thrive. By managing the whole person and using your empathy, communication and leadership skills, your team can work effectively and deliver business success.

What you will learn

Over 6 weeks we’ll cover a broad range of topics that will:

Broaden your thinking and encourage you to see alternative perspectives

Give you the tools to motivate and manage individuals

Improve your understanding about how to create an inclusive and adaptable team

Inspire you to try something different with your team

This course is right for you if:

You are taking your first step into people management or aspiring to do so soon.

You can commit to around 1 hour of learning per week (total of 6 hours across 6 weeks).

This course is a designed to be a broad introduction so is suitable for those in any function within the industry

The details

You will have 6 weeks to complete the course. It is broken down into modules, which you can work through at your own pace, giving you the flexibility to fit it around other commitments.

Each module contains short knowledge shares, along with quizzes, optional activities, and a forum to help you reflect on and practice what you have learnt. We update our courses regularly so the below is a guide.
