British shoppers still use physical stores as their main channel for buying groceries, despite the rise of online.

The average shopper uses nearly five different channels each month. Nearly a quarter do this to find the best value. A further quarter say they prefer, or find they are, shopping for food and groceries most days. Meeting shopper needs around value, choice and ease is driving different retailer initiatives.

How the winner is decided

To judge this award, we combine British shoppers’ votes from our ShopperVista service with financial in-market KPIs.
