The challenge:

The client needed to better understand its customers' current supply chain challenges and priorities, and how these could change over time. With this insight the client hoped to be able to shape its own supply chain strategies to add value for customers.

How we helped:

  • We ran an online survey of 200 operational and strategic contacts in supply chain and commercial roles
  • The survey was followed by one-to-one interviews to gain deeper understanding of views expressed by individuals in the survey
  • We combined our findings from the above with research from IGD’s Supply Chain Analysis to identify the actions the client needed to take
  • The client used the research to drive efficiencies through their own supply chains and those of their customers

The outcome:

  • The efficiencies delivered across supply chains was a growth driver for the client
