Joanna Allen joined graze, the healthy snacking business, as CEO in July 2020. Since joining, graze has become a B Corp and a Living Wage employer. Joanna has held a number of senior roles across Unilever including global brand vice president of Sure and global brand vice president of Hellmann's. Before joining Unilever in 2015, she worked for The Coca-Cola Company for fourteen years, where she held senior roles, including global brand director for Coca-Cola, in the UK, the US and globally.

Tomasz Blicharski has served as Executive Vice President of the Management Board and Managing Director of Żabka Future since January 2021.

Żabka Future is an important pillar of the Żabka Group, responsible for its innovation and development. Tomasz Blicharski brings together a team of people responsible for researching, creating and developing new business areas and technological solution meeting the challenges the industry faces.

Before taking up his current position, he simultaneously held two posts: Vice President of the Management Board of Żabka Polska for Development (since 2017) and Vice President of the Management Board of Żabka Polska for Finance (since 2015). He has been involved with Żabka Polska since 2011, as a member of the Board of Directors.

He has extensive experience in investment banking and finance gained in Poland and abroad. He was associated with international banks ABN Amro and BNP Paribas, as well as Procter & Gamble. Since 2007, he held the position of director at Mid Europa Partners fund, where he was responsible for investments in Central and Eastern Europe (including Norican Group, Polskie Koleje Górskie and Żabka Polska).

In 2018 and 2020, he was awarded in the Digital Shapers’ annual survey of outstanding digital and new technology personalities in the “digital transformation” category.

He is an alumnus of Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Warsaw School of Economics.

Diane is accountable for all existing customer revenues and contracts, including responsibility for the account management and customer service functions. Additionally, she manages ambitious business growth across the UK and Ireland through the new business and marketing teams.

Steve Challouma is the General Manager of Birds Eye UK & Ireland, part of the Nomad Foods group and the leading branded business in Frozen Foods, encompassing the Birds Eye, Aunt Bessie’s and Goodfella’s brands. He has spent over 25 years in the Frozen Food industry in a range of commercial roles spanning sales, category management and marketing. He was previously Marketing Director, where he led the brand team that turned around the Birds Eye brand, delivering four consecutive years of growth and winning the coveted Grocer Gold award in 2019 for Brand of the Year.

Steve is a passionate advocate for Frozen Food and has a long history with the business, starting his career as a Unilever graduate trainee in 1996 for Birds Eye Wall’s in Sales, before moving into Marketing in 2002. Highlights include the revitalisation of Captain Birds Eye as a brand icon after a 10-year hiatus, the launch of the Birds Eye Green Cuisine brand in the plant protein segment - and the acquisition and integration of the Goodfella’s and Aunt Bessie’s brands in 2018.

Through trusted partnerships with Grocery Retailers, Sam has driven shopper insight to the heart of all innovation to agitate segments and deliver category incrementality. Sam joined All About Food as a graduate in 2011 as the business’s first Category Manager. Over the past eleven years she has built strong partnerships with retailers, brand owners, and insight suppliers. Sam heavily invests in people development and is proud to have created a Category Management team which is brilliant at the basics and meaningfully different. Sam is passionate about all things food and politics, and is a big believer in hard work and creativity.

She has a particular interest in the eCommerce channel and helped develop IGD’s unique methodology in uncovering online shopper insights. She understands the commercial importance of investing in shopper research and is driven to ensure every project she leads delivers actionable insights that drives change for the clients she works with.

ROM has over 20 years’ experience in a variety of commercial, category, innovation and strategy roles across manufacturing and retail including Mars, Nestle, Kellogg’s, Muller and Biotiful Dairy before joining the Co-op in 2020 as Head of Category for Frozen and Dairy.

Rebecca is extremely passionate about putting the customer at the heart of everything we do, focusing on data and insight to create visionary strategies that centre around customers’ wants, needs and desires. Empowering creativity, change and doing things differently ROM prides herself on driving accessible, mindful inspiration for our customer base.

Within her categories, Rebecca wants everyone to disrupt and inspire to drive authentic differentiation for Co-op, doing the right things in the right way positively and passionately. Ashwin joined Tesco in 2010 from Mars Inc. He has worked across a number of product divisions as Category Buying Manager, followed by Category Director roles in Household, Bakery, Dairy, Health & Wellness, and then General Merchandise Commercial Director for the UK.

In 2018 Ashwin moved from GM to take on the UK Commercial Director role for Packaged Products and Petrol Filling Stations before being promoted to the Executive Committee in September 2020 as Group Chief Product Officer.

Ashwin is responsible for the strategy and policy for the planning, ranging, sourcing and supply of the products Tesco sell across the Group. In addition, he has direct responsibility for managing this for the UK.

She joined the Corporation as a graduate news trainee and has worked in many parts of the news operation, including reporting stints in New York and Moscow as well as the Midlands and Scotland. She lives in London and is married with two children.

James is well known for speaking at both UK and international events and provides interviews for TV, radio and the press. He also creates original reports and articles for IGD.

James has worked with clients across the entire grocery industry as well as with non-industry groups such as government departments, financial businesses and NGOs.

James joined IGD in April 1999 and has served in several roles, becoming Chief Economist in 2004.

Prior to joining IGD, he worked for Hillsdown Holdings, Northern Foods and Rank-Xerox.
