IGD and Aldi, working in partnership are delighted to be hosting this event in-person for the first time in five years as Aldi outline their ambitious growth plans.

 
What's the format of the event?

In-person option:

  • A dedicated session with the Aldi leadership team on the latest strategic updates
  • Put your questions to Aldi’s leadership team during a live and interactive Q&A
  • Hear an economic update and forecast from the IGD team
  • Access the virtual event platform for pre and post content on demand
  • Watch and replay selected presentation on-demand in your own time
  • Have face to face conversations with the Aldi senior management team and make connections with Aldi buyers
  • Hear from British sports presenter and former Team GB track and field athlete, Dame Denise Lewis
  • Engage with Aldi category teams in the Immersion Breakout Sessions and Product Lifecycle Deep Dive Sessions
  • Join us for food throughout the day brought to you by Aldi
  • Our event app provides advance access, giving you time to prepare for the event and gain the most from the programme and venue on the day

How to get to the venue?

The Aldi Supplier Conference from IGD 2023 is being held at The ICC, 8 Centenary Square, Birmingham, B1 2EA. The closet train station is New Street Station. For more details on transportation please see here.

What is the dress code for the in-person event?

Business casual is what most attendees opt for, and we suggest comfortable shoes as you move around the venue.

 
Can I make a name change?

Name changes remain free of charge, we do ask that your request is with us one week prior to the event date, to enable access to our event app. Name changes must be made in writing to [email protected].

 
How do I communicate my accessibility needs?

We are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive event experience for all attendees. If you have an accessibility-related requirement or request for this event, please let us know in your registration profile (which you’ll be sent once your ticket has been purchased). How is IGD keeping me safe?

IGD is committed to providing safe and secure environments for our attendees in conjunction with the venues we choose. All local and national authority guidance and regulations will be adhered to by IGD and the venue team.

We will continue to monitor for any change to the guidance and regulation.

We fully comply with government guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19 and have additional measures in place for attendees to follow to keep everyone's experience safe.

How sustainable is this event?

IGD and Aldi have worked to minimise our environmental impact wherever possible.

Central to this has been our focus on minimising food waste – with any excess donated to the charity post-event.

In addition, there will be minimal printed material and the use of recycled, recyclable and bio-degradable products wherever possible.

We track the carbon footprint of our events, so we can measure year on year reductions.

 
What is the carbon impact of this event?
  • You will have access to our Event App which will provide you with an interactive schedule and map, digital resources and documents
  • We’ll be using recycled, recyclable, and biodegradable materials wherever possible
  • Food waste will be kept to a minimum, with suitable leftover food will be donated to charity post-event
  • We’ll be tracking our carbon footprint so we can reduce this year on year.
  • You can help support this mission by considering the following options:
    • Travelling by public transport to the event
    • Utilising your time in Town to conduct other meetings around this event
    • Drop your badge and lanyard back to us at the end of the day, so we can clean and reuse this
 
What is IGD’s commitment to diversity and inclusion?

  • You can include your gender pronoun on your badge, via your registration profile (which you’ll be sent, once your ticket has been purchased)
