Charles Wilson, chief executive, Booker Group plc, became president of IGD on
1 January 2011. The president is a figurehead and one of their roles is to chair
IGD’s industry leaders’ forum, the Policy
Issues Council (PIC). This is a forum for chairmen and chief executives of a
wide range of companies throughout the food and grocery supply chain.
PIC meets regularly to engage on several projects each year. These projects
deliver important improvements across the industry, in areas where IGD members
can work together.
