Rachel can help you to understand how the latest nutrition strategies and guidelines will affect your business both now and in the future.
Acting as Nutrition Manager since May 2008, her role involves working with nutritionists in industry to look at how food and drink businesses can help in the development of integrated, cohesive and balanced nutrition strategies throughout the UK. Recent work has included Saturated Fat: Best Practice Guide, Portion size - Understanding the consumer perspective and a preliminary study of the Environmental Impact of Nutrition Guidance.
Rachel has a background in science research having worked in plant biotechnology within academia before moving to industry to focus on nutrition. She has a record of academic publications reflecting these interests.
Prior to joining IGD, Rachel worked in nutrition research at a major FMCG company, later moving into a regulatory affairs role.
Rachel has a PhD in Biology and B.Sc (Hons) in Agricultural Botany.
