Toby is a Senior Sustainability Analyst at IGD. He is IGD’s specialist on
sustainability developments and strategies of grocery retailers and
manufacturers. Toby can help you get to grips with the latest developments in
sustainability.
Toby has worked on IGD’s sustainable reports, and manages IGD’s on-line
sustainability information service (www.igd.com/sustainability).
This resource provides information to help food and grocery companies understand
and meet the challenges posed by the ever changing and evolving sustainability
agenda.
Toby has presented to industry on sustainability strategies and trends, and
has undertaken numerous customised pieces of work to help organisations
understand sustainability issues and strategies.
He has developed and presents IGD’s
Sustainability in the food and grocery industry open workshop. Toby is also
the lead tutor on IGD's
Postgraduate Certificate Sustainable Supply Chain unit.
Toby oversees delivery of IGD sustainability themed conferences and has
helped major retailers organise their sustainability themed events.
Toby manages IGD’s
Industry Sustainability Group (a group of 25 sustainability professionals
from major food retailers, foodservice and manufacturing companies). He was the
lead author and project managed the group’s most recent output, the
Environmental Sustainability Matrix.
Toby is also responsible for developing and delivering a number of IGD’s
internal Corporate Responsibility initiatives.
Toby joined IGD in 2007. He holds a BA (Hons) in Environmental Management
from the University of Leeds. In 2010, Toby completed the Institute of
Environmental Management and Assessment Open Book Assessment.
