Karen is responsible for IGD’s activities focussed on developing and building supply chain capability across the food and grocery industry. She leads IGD’s Supply Chain training; designing, developing and delivering workshops and training programmes in both North America and Europe, she also contributes to collaborative based programmes involving participants from across the food industry and is a trainer on IGD’s supply chain workshops and Postgraduate Certificate in Food and Grocery Industry Management.
Karen manages ECR UK’s ‘Developing Supply Chain Talent’ work programme and contributes to IGD’s research programme producing content for Supply Chain Analysis, with particular focus on on-shelf availability and sustainable distribution.
Karen also manages IGD's annual Supply Chain Summit, bringing representatives from across the supply chain together to share best practice.
Prior to joining IGD, Karen gained 13 years experience in operations, demand planning and supply chain development with RS Components, InBev UK and Coca-Cola Enterprises. Most latterly working with major wholesale and licensed customers to understand and manage their current and future supply chain requirements.
Karen has a BSc (Hons) in Operations Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Logistics Management and is a Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport.
