The third in our series of Future Perspectives builds on the theme of our 2010 Convention, "Building a new future". Starting with the premise that, as per sci-fi author William Gibson, “The future is already here, it’s just unevenly distributed”, we examine some of the challenges facing our industry and wider society: climate, water, resources, population.
What becomes clear is that, while severe and urgent, these challenges are not unprecedented in their nature, nor are they beyond our understanding.
