Metro Group has today announced a number of changes to its management board's organisation. Thomas Unger, who has served on the board as vice chairman since August of last year, is due to leave the retailer on 30 September of this year.

Metro Group commented on the forthcoming departure:

"The supervisory board and management board thank Thomas Unger for the work he has done. From a prominent position, Unger contributed to the successful course of Metro Group".
