Maxima has reported a fall in turnover of 11.1% for the first half of 2010.
Turnover was down across all of the Baltic retailer's operating markets.
Director General Mindaugas Bagdonavičius said: "We have reached a
crossroad [sic]. On one hand, we have been already observing some signs of
stabilisation in the drop-down of the company's turnover in the Baltic States,
and therefore we are able to plan our further steps into the future. On the
second hand, overall turnover in the markets Maxima Grupe is present in has
dropped down by more than one-tenth this year, therefore it is way too early to
speak of revival."
