Waitrose has reported that over the 26 weeks to 30th January, total sales
(ex-fuel) increased by 15.1% year-on-year. Having had a challenging start
to the year, the launch of the 'essential Waitrose' range, the introductory of
free online delivery, which supported a 100% increase in online sales, and store acquisitions all helped in driving a turnaround
of the retailer's performance.
