Q. Can I print off the Retailer Profiles to read when I'm away from my desk?
A. Yes - Go to the retailer hubpage of your choice and hit the button at the bottom left of your screen.
You can then print or save the PDF file which is produced in a new window.
Alternatively you can select from a list of Retailer Profiles to print from here.
Q. Can I use the photos in presentations and reports?
A. Yes, provided they are sourced to IGD.
Q. I have downloaded one of your presentations on your featured retailers. Is it possible to access the data which underlies charts?
A. Yes. Open the presentation in Powerpoint and go to the slide which holds a chart of interest. Double click on the chart. If the data does not appear, right click on a blank area of the chart and select "Datasheet". When the datasheet appears, the data can be copied into Excel, Word etc
Q. I have produced a report using the Datacentre, but I want to do my own data manipulation in Excel. Can I do this?
A. Yes. When you have produced the data, look just above the data table at "Data Tools". Click the Excel Spreadsheet icons. When prompted, choose the Open File from Current Location option. This will open the data in an Excel window.
Q. I find it difficult to remember my login password for Retail Analysis. Is there any way I can change it to something more memorable?
A. After login go to 'My Profile' at the top right of the screen where you can change your password, and update us with any changes to your contact details.
If you are struggling to reach this point, every login box on Retail Analysis has a 'forgotten password' function where you can retrieve your password via email.
Some users may be able to login via their company intranet - see this answer.
Q. When I print off a page from a Retailer Profile, it cuts the ends of lines or prints lots of extra pages. Is there a fault with the site?
A. No, this is caused by the way your browser prints web pages. Where you see an icon entitled 'Print Page', pressing this will ensure your selection is reproduced in a 'printer-friendly' format.
Q. I have to give an internal presentation and would like to use a graph from a slide I have downloaded from Retail Analysis. Can I copy and paste it into Powerpoint?
A. Yes, and in most cases you can do even more! The vast majority of the charts in our slides contain the underlying datasheet. Open the IGD slide in Powerpoint, double click the selected chart and the data should appear. This can then be copied and manipulated in your own Powerpoint file.
Q. I want to view an IGD Presentation Slide in Powerpoint, but when I click on "Open file from current location" I get an error. What can I do?
A. This is due to a bug in some browsers. When downloading a slide, please choose the "Save File To Disk" option instead, download, and then open the Powerpoint file from the location where you downloaded it to. The advantage of this is that the file will then be saved for your future use too.
