Supply Chain Summit 2015

About this event

IGD’s Supply Chain Summit is designed to inspire change in the supply chain to raise business performance. This year’s theme is ‘empowering the chain through people and technology’. With all the challenges in the marketplace, we see these two key areas as unlocking real value from the total chain.

Watch this video to find out what senior supply chain figures thought of last year’s event:

IGD’s Supply Chain Summit brings together supply chain and distribution directors with their teams to understand the big supply chain issues affecting our sector and to plan how to respond. There will be three critical aspects that will help shape supply chains:

  1. GROWTH: Low volume and margin growth places more pressure on the fundamentals. What role can supply chain play in driving growth?
  2. EFFICIENCY: With greater volatility comes uncertainty and cost, so how can you better collaborate and innovate to drive efficiencies?
  3. CAPABILITY: To influence the business agenda, supply chain teams will need to move from the warehouse to the boardroom and take on stronger leadership role across the business

The Supply Chain Summit is structured around three key elements:

Join us for the pre-event evening reception taking place at London Transport Museum in Covent Garden. The museum has dynamic displays of iconic posters, vintage vehicles and interactive displays for your entertainment and we will be joined by a business leader for a keynote address.

Feedback from the Supply Chain Summit 2014 delegates:

A focused supply chain event that provides unique guidance from those who shape the sector. If it isn't discussed here, it probably isn't relevant

Exceptional and inspirational

A time efficient opportunity to step back & better understand the industry challenges & opportunities. An excellent input to strategic thinking

An excellent platform to foster communication and networking in a non-competitive environment

A valuable experience for getting a feel for the current mood in the industry and an opportunity to have some valuable conversations on neutral ground.

An invaluable opportunity to hear the challenges faced by other suppliers and the retailers in an open and honest forum.

An opportunity to "check in" against the industry trends, developments, challenges, opportunities.
